Welcoming

Delhi is truly the melting pot of India's cultures. People from every region of the country come here to become part of this behemoth of a city, and each adds a little of its own zing, constantly renewing the city's flavour. At Nehru Enclave, we set out to welcome this crowd to the station and show our appreciation for everyone who is part of it, with two lotus artworks and two artworks of Madhubani dancers and singers. The detailed patchwork of textiles from across the country shows how beautiful they become when they come together, and the artwork facing it shows how, if you peel back the surface, Delhi is made up of people of every region, religion, stature and style in India.
